Aberdeen - Facebook

Abler are proud to welcome Aberdeen FC Community Trust as the first Scottish professional Club Community Organisation (CCO) to adopt the Abler platform, reflecting the organisation's ambition to strengthen and expand its community programmes across the region.

The Trust will use Abler support the outreach and management of their community Football programmes that are located across the region. The platform helps club community organisations manage programmes, track impact, and streamline administration across education, health, and inclusion projects.

“We’re delighted to be working with Abler and excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring. Each year we engage thousands of young people and families through our football programmes across the North East, and Abler’s digital platform will help us enhance how we manage and deliver these programmes. Ultimately, it will support us in providing a first-class experience for participants and families both on and off the pitch.”

Stephen Boddie, Football Team Lead at Aberdeen FC Community Trust

"Aberdeen's progressive approach makes them the ideal organisation to lead the way in Scotland, and we are delighted to welcome them as the first Scottish CCO to adopt the Abler platform."

Markus Maute, CEO of Abler

Aberdeen FC Community Trust is the official charity partner of Aberdeen FC, operating out of Pittodrie Stadium and delivering programmes across two core areas. In education, the Trust works with primary and secondary schools throughout the North East of Scotland, using the power of football to support pupil engagement across numeracy, literacy, and STEM subjects, as well as mental wellbeing through their MINDSET programme. On the football, health and wellbeing side, the Trust runs grassroots and mass participation football opportunities alongside community health initiatives covering active ageing, dementia friendly activities, men's mental health, and more — working in close partnership with the Scottish FA, Sport Aberdeen, and local health and social care organisations. Club Community Organisations engage schools, young people, and local communities across a wide range of programmes. By adopting a dedicated platform, organisations can improve visibility of their activities, measure outcomes more effectively, and enhance collaboration across partners and stakeholders.

Aberdeen FC Community Trust's adoption of Abler reflects the growing momentum behind purpose-built digital tools to support community work in professional football. Abler looks forward to partnering with more Club Community Organisations across Scotland in the coming months.
